Nepal Earthquake Appeal - SHIVA Charity

To help those affected by the major earthquake in Nepal Mountain Kingdoms have made an additional donation to SHIVA Charity for Ginette Harrison School, near Kathmandu. Sadly, many homes have been destroyed in this area and the donation will be used to support the school's local community, in particular providing shelter, provisions and medical supplies.
Despite communication difficulties and the overwhelming amount of work being done for those in Nepal, Bob Uppington of SHIVA Charity has managed to provide an update on the efforts of SHIVA Charity and make an appeal for the much needed support. For regular updates on how donations are benefiting those in Nepal, please see Bob's Facebook page.
Latest update
Wotton-under-Edge local business, Walkers the Bakers, wanted to support Mountain Kingdoms' efforts to raise funds for SHIVA Charity. During May, the bakery managed to raise £180 through donations from local residents. This £180 will be used to donate a cow to a Nepali family. One cow will provide a lifeline for a family in need, producing up to five litres of milk a day and a much need income. Walkers the Bakers are now hoping to raise enough money to donate a second cow to another family.
