Our grading system explained
- Expedition Grade
Travelling to far-flung destinations on an adventurous holiday is often a once-in-a-lifetime experience and can give rise to many questions about what to expect. At Mountain Kingdoms we provide all the help, advice and reassurance you need from first contact to return. Here is some essential information about the services we offer that ensure you will have the best possible holiday experience.
From your initial enquiry to your return home we are committed to giving the best possible service to give you the best holiday experience. Heres what we provide prior to departure:
Once you have booked a holiday with us we send you a comprehensive holiday dossier that gives you all the information you need to prepare for your trip including: visa requirements, information on medical matters, suggested equipment and clothing lists, advice on physical preparation, tips on responsible travel, discount offers with outdoor gear retailers and a relevant reading list.
Each year we offer four popular meets for clients who have booked holidays with Mountain Kingdoms. These are a great way to meet fellow travellers and some of the Mountain Kingdoms team, and to ask any questions you have.
The dates for our 2019 meets are:
- Saturday 2nd March
- Saturday 3rd August
- Saturday 7th September
We organise a 9/10-mile walk in the Cotswolds, ending at a local pub for tea, biscuits and a presentation. Full details of how to book your place/s will be sent with your dossier once you have booked your holiday, and includes a list of local B&Bs. Places are limited for each meet so do book early.
If you don't have your own travel insurance, or its not adequate to cover you for adventure travel, then we can offer travel insurance underwritten by our brokers Campbell Irvine. Our policy has no upper altitude limit and is specifically designed to cover any activity booked and arranged with us. Prices vary by trip and can be found on each individual holiday page. Download a sample policy here or contact our office for further details.
