Love at 17,764ft!

Love at 17,764ft!

Mountain Kingdoms are delighted to announce the engagement of clients Andy Evans & Kelly Price. The proposal happened in true trekking style - at the top of the Annapurna Pass!

After a tough climb to the summit of the Thorong La and a puff of oxygen to recover, Andy managed to catch enough breath, to pop the question. A very surprised Kelly said yes. She thought the altitude had gone to Andy's head when he started fumbling around with his bag. When she realised he was proposing she welled up, even though at 17,764ft the tears ran a real risk of sticking her glasses to her face! The Mountain Kingdoms team are no strangers to on-trek romances as MD Steve Berry and his wife Seraphina met climbing mountains in Bhutan and India. Steve says, “Trekking in the Himalaya resulted in my own marriage. But Andy went one step further and proposed at the top of the pass - I waited till I got home!”

Love is certainly in the air here at Mountain Kingdoms. We heard Andy and Kelly's happy news on the day our Operations Assistant April got married in a tiny chapel near our office in the Cotswolds. Everyone at Mountain Kingdoms sends their congratulations to Andy and Kelly and newlyweds April and Barry.
