A royal birthday party in Bhutan

Join the former king's 60th birthday celebrations in Thimphu this year on our 4th November departure of our Definitive Cultural Tour of Bhutan, the itinerary of which has just been revised in order to witness this special event.
We are privileged to have as our guide for this trip, Bhutan citizen and expert, Michael Rutland OBE, who also happens to have been the former king's tutor back in the seventies when he moved to Bhutan. Michael's encyclopaedic knowledge and position in Bhutanese society make him the ideal person to lead this special trip, as he will be a part of the birthday celebrations and can show the group a unique side of Bhutan.
The special birthday celebration tour will also explore the cultural highlights of Paro, Thimphu, Punakha and Gangtey; a great opportunity to see the sights at a time when the whole country will be celebrating.
