A wonderful experience!

This was a wonderful trip and an experience I will remember for a long time, particularly the climb up to the Tiger's Nest Monastery! We were very lucky to have Tshering as our tour leader, a very experienced guide and a really nice man. Everything went smoothly, thanks to the hard work he put in behind the scenes. Thanks to Mountain Kingdoms for offering such a good trip.

Bhutan, an experience!

When you say that you are going to Bhutan, most people say, "Where's that?" but honestly what a place! Starting with a night at the Dwarika's Hotel in Kathmandu which was an oasis in the chaos of Kathmandu and on to Paro in Bhutan. From the moment you drive out of the airport you know that you are somewhere different, soaring mountain scenery and crashing rivers in the valleys. Most of the people you see and meet are in National costume and are very friendly. The local festivals are brilliant brightly coloured events for the locals to put on their Sunday best. Travelling high across mountain passes on roads (well almost) you would not believe, the skill and patients of the driver was incredible! The Dzongs and Temples are fascinating structures, but some such as 'Tiger's Nest' do take a bit of hiking uphill to get there, but it is worth it when you are there. If you are looking to go somewhere different, this is definitely the place to go, but hurry it won't stay this way forever!

Group size just right. A good mix of ages. The trip ran smoothly as far as meals were concerned everywhere, prompt and efficient.

I had a seriously good time on this trip!

Personally the trip exceeded expectations in terms of accommodation, comfort, food etc and every day was just excellent. Bhutan has been a dream for a long time, and I was just in awe of the scenery, the wonderful people and all the special experiences.

Gentle Walking Bhutan

This trip was well structured to provide a very interesting look at a beautiful country. The balance of culture, hiking and being in nature, culminating in the Paro festival and ascending the Tiger's Nest monastery worked well. The walks were challenging but provided the perfect build up to Tiger's Nest.

Thank you for a fabulous holiday, my husband and I enjoyed every minute and have many precious memories. We look forward to planning our next trip!

Overall a wonderful experience

It was a very enjoyable holiday, we had a great time.

Brilliant Bhutan

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent holiday to Bhutan. It is a beautiful Country with stunning scenery and lovely people. The standard of hotels and the food were better than we had expected and our guide and support team couldn't have done more to make our trip more enjoyable. The information and support we received from Mountain Kingdoms, both before and during our trip was impressive and our small group of 12 gelled well during our two weeks together. November was also a very good time to visit Bhutan, the weather being superb during our stay, with lovely blue skies and clear visibility. Although cold at night, it was warmer than we had expected during the days and my very expensive winter jacket remained in my case for the duration!

Memorable holiday to Bhutan

A fantastic and memorable experience which exceeded all my expectations, superbly organised with excellent guides and drivers. A holiday of a lifetime, thank you all so very much.
