Cultural Cycling Tour of Burma featured in the Financial Times
Earlier this year travel writer and author Andrew Eames travelled with us on our Cultural Cycling Tour of Burma, where he experienced the Golden Land from a unique perspective.
"We rode on sandy trails up to the tombs of the local Shan princes and then to a succession of Shan villages, where reed roofing was being woven and rice noodles were being made, scenes we’d never have seen if we’d been travelling by car."
Phongun Razi Summit Success
11 trekkers reach the summit of a 3,635m /11,926ft Burmese ice mountain, Mount Phongun Razi
Mountain Kingdoms are experts in worldwide trekking holidays, however this is the first time we have taken trekkers to climb a mountain in Burma! Our group are some of the first westerners to experience a trek in northern Burma, an area which has only recently opened up to foreign visitors. They trekked through pristine jungle and along rocky outcrops to reach snow-capped Mount Phongun Razi, affording stunning views of the surrounding eastern Himalaya.

We were proud to support the Prospect Burma event on 20th
June, held to mark Aung San Suu Kyi's birthday. The event, held in Chelsea,
raised money for the Prospect Burma charity, which works towards giving young
Burmese people access to education.
