Enjoyable adventure trip
It was a very enjoyable adventure trip, well planned and full of interest. The way the places we stayed in gradually built up in altitude was very helpful. It was a tough trip in physical terms but a great experience.
As with my previous two trips to Nepal with MK, the standard of organisation was first-class. I also believe that your local partners deliver a 'best in class' level of service to your clients.
Very efficient service from the UK office and excellent support from the team in Kathmandu. The Sherpas were well chosen and gave outstanding support on trek. It was always reassuring to know that good support would always be available in the event of any problems.
I thought the festival was quite amazing and completely mediaeval, as was Lo Manthang itself, a wonderful reward for six days hard walking. Unforgettable.
The pre-departure info was excellent and thorough. The local trek crew were fantastic - I can't praise them enough. MK obviously has respect for the local people it uses and the countries it operates in.
The crew were cheerful and smiling at all times and dedicated themselves to making sure that we were comfortable, well looked after and having an enjoyable experience. The food was excellent, Bhakhat, our fantastic, imaginative cook prepared wonderful, varied food for us. All in all we had a truly memorable holiday from start to finish.

I can't wait to go back!
This really was a trip of a lifetime. I loved every part of this trek, from the satisfaction of crossing the challenging mountain passes, through to the remoteness of the beautiful high mountain villages and camping at the stunning Tilicho lake. I can't wait to go back!
What we enjoyed was the amazing scenery combined with the happy friendly people of Nepal and Bhutan. Our guides were excellent, extremely knowledgeable, friendly and punctual.

Remote and cultural
When I review the 1000+ images of the trip, I was very pleased I went - met my expectations of the remoteness and culture. Will happily travel with Himalayan Kingdoms (now Mountain Kingdoms) again.
The trekking is relatively easy going and takes us through many small villages in the mid-hills of Nepal. As a consequence we gain a far greater insight into regular village life largely untouched by tourism and get to see how the majority of Nepali's live. Off-the-beaten-path, incredible landscapes, plenty of interaction with friendly locals, and lovely lodges. This is for anyone who wants to get under the skin of Nepal in a degree of comfort with a good balance of exploring on foot with time to relax and savour the surroundings.
