Himalayan extravaganza
A real Himalayan extravaganza.
Nepal and Bhutan - amazing scenery
What we enjoyed was the amazing scenery combined with the happy friendly people of Nepal and Bhutan. Our guides were excellent, extremely knowledgeable, friendly and punctual.
Remote and cultural
When I review the 1000+ images of the trip, I was very pleased I went - met my expectations of the remoteness and culture. Will happily travel with Himalayan Kingdoms (now Mountain Kingdoms) again.
I can't wait to go back!
This really was a trip of a lifetime. I loved every part of this trek, from the satisfaction of crossing the challenging mountain passes, through to the remoteness of the beautiful high mountain villages and camping at the stunning Tilicho lake. I can't wait to go back!
Magical lack of crowds
I just wanted to add my personal thanks to you guys for such a superb trek. Truly the best ever: wonderful scenery & cultural environment, a magical lack of crowds, vigorous enough without being too much, perfect weather, good equipment & food and a professional and experienced guide and team that worked professionally and seamlessly and were a pleasure to interact with.
A first class trip - Mustang trek
A first class trip led by an excellent local guide... we had an audience with the King of Lo, visited three schools and had lots of interaction with the people of Lo Manthang. Superb scenery together with unique people making a fantastic experience.
Extremely well-guided trek
This trek was a very well put together, extremely well-guided and I thought that the pre-trip briefing notes were very comprehensive.
A great trip
Well planned trip - all the info as always is detailed and excellent, inc. equipment advice. Have travelled with you before and found this, as always, was up to your usual high standard. The Sherpa leader and porters were great and looked after us very well, sorry to say good-bye to them. A great trip, and as the only woman in the group at 60+ felt very happy that we made it all the way round.
Well organised
I found that the trip was very well organised, particularly the trek itself. Nima Temang was excellent and was able to communicate well. It was noticeable that other guides regularly sought his advice and some other groups also sought his advice because they were unable to communicate effectively with their guide. Nima took particular care over keeping the group healthy - from putting out disinfectant hand washing facilities at lunch and dinner times and ensuring that disinfectant hand gel was available at each meal. He often also supervised the kitchen and the preparation of our food. The training and acclimatisation was also excellent with extra excursions etc. arranged, which meant that none of our party suffered from altitude sickness.
Annapurna Circuit - excellent
The trip was excellent all along. Sirdar, Sherpas, porters, scenery, food, lodges etc. were excellent.
Everything was excellent
Everything was excellent. Having discovered how thoroughly enjoyable it was to have everything done (and carried) for me, by people who were always friendly and attentive, I am grateful to Mountain Kingdoms and I look forward to booking with you again.
Friendly locals
The trekking is relatively easy going and takes us through many small villages in the mid-hills of Nepal. As a consequence we gain a far greater insight into regular village life largely untouched by tourism and get to see how the majority of Nepali's live. Off-the-beaten-path, incredible landscapes, plenty of interaction with friendly locals, and lovely lodges. This is for anyone who wants to get under the skin of Nepal in a degree of comfort with a good balance of exploring on foot with time to relax and savour the surroundings.
Great views
Good successful trip, good weather, great views - so many mountains I have read about. Getting to Ama Dablam BC was special especially as five expeditions were there. Lots of birds and animals. The Summit Lodges were very comfortable and the staff excellent.
Well supported trek
Good arrangements. Excellent hotel in Kathmandu. Instructions were clear and concise and met expectations. Enjoyed having a small group on trek, well supported by leader and assistant throughout. Summit Lodges were comfortable and gave good recovery from daily trek.
Superb
Lodges were superb: staff, food, everything. The trip was well organised, the lodges were superb, all staff were fantastic.
Ama Dablam Base Camp
This was an excellent and well thought out itinerary. We particularly enjoyed the variety of walking and experiences gained. The scenery on the trek was both spectacular and varied. We were introduced into Nepalese culture, met with Nepalese families and shared an understanding of their religious beliefs. The kindness of the people we met will stay with us.
Wonderful mountain walking
I was very impressed with the trek, it was all (and more) that I had hoped it would be. A serious, longish trek into remote mountains. Loved it! Big thank you to all concerned. Well organised trip. If anything had gone wrong (which it didn't) I would have been in safe hands. Wonderful mountain walking in remote areas. Hardly saw other trek groups until we re-joined the Annapurna Circuit in last few days.
Mera Peak - very enjoyable trek
Excellent trek, very enjoyable though very tough. Group leader was excellent. Mera Peak is certainly one of the experiences you'll never forget.
Mera Peak - great service
As this was my 5th trek with MK, it is the service you provide from beginning to end, from the brochure through to the assistance given with any queries one may have.
Mera Peak - ideal acclimatisation
It was my first trip with MK. As such it was an unforgettable experience. Very well lead, ideal acclimatisation.
