Our grading system explained
See a total eclipse in Spain
Book onto the August departure of our Camino de Santiago trek in northern Spain next year, and you'll be able to experience a total eclipse of the sun.
There is a rare total eclipse on August 12th which will sweep across the Arctic, Scandinavia and parts of Spain. The route of our Camino trek is directly under the path of totality so, if the skies are clear, you will get the full effect of this amazing natural phenomenon. We'll also be giving away special total eclipse glasses to the first six people to book places
On the night of the eclipse you will be staying at the charming 4* Parador Vilalba set within a converted medieval tower - a suitably historical location for such an historic event.
The holiday is a 9-day, easy-paced trek that follows the final stretch of one of the famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage routes through rural Galicia in northern Spain. Accompanied by a local guide, and with your luggage transported, you'll stay in traditional accommodation, sample some delicious regional food and end your trek in style at the majestic Santiago de Compostela cathedral. You'll even get a pilgrim's certificate for officially completing 100km of the Camino Way.
