I enjoyed the remoteness, scenery, stunning views of the mountains & visiting the many Dzongs.
Everything about this trip was awesome. When we arrived at Annapurna Base Camp it was snowing and the snow continued all day. The next morning dawned cold and clear with the most breathtaking views. Thanks to Mountain Kingdoms for such a well organized trip and to our guide Sun and our porter for such a fantastic job.
I loved the scenery, mountains, mountain passes and fabulous descents. The monasteries, temples and Dzongs.
An absolutely perfect tour! As the only German present I met four lovely people from the UK, a wonderful and expert Bhutanese guide and Michael Rutland, who enriched the tour by telling us a lot about his long-lasting experiences with and in that beautiful country. The tour itself was well-designed and we usually had enough time to take in and then "digest" the multi-coloured experiences we had every day. Accomodation and food were absolutely satisfactory.
Bhutan remains a fascinating and unique destination, and it was a privilege to travel to the east as well as revisit some of the western highlights
A fantastic trip. Our guide and Sherpas had everything well organized and made the experience both fun and greatly contributed to our knowledge of mountain life. The porters were amazing. The lack of roads in the valley highlights the remoteness, and the scenery fabulous. The tea houses were a good standard, the food tasty and plentiful. All transport was great fun. The team could not have done more to make it go well. The trek grading is correct, and I would thoroughly recommend it.
Visited really lovely varied, interesting locations. Very well organised.
A wonderful holiday discovering the remarkable features of Bhutan: scenery, architecture, national dress and Buddhist customs and traditions. The Bhutanese are friendly and gentle people who added a lot to our overall experience. We enjoyed expert and knowledgeable guiding both from local guide, Tshering and from Michael Rutland whose experiences of Bhutan over 50 years are unique. We were privileged to be invited to his home for a special evening watching the film "A Yak in the Classroom".
Spectacular and diverse scenery, fascinating Tibetan culture, superbly led. And great food throughout!
Fabulous trek with the most stunning views, interesting unspoilt Nepalese villages, friendly group of people. Informative guides, huge diversity of landscapes, flora & fauna.
