Mrs Bandhari's Guest House

This Amritsar institution is a charming and quirky legacy to its previous owner, the much-loved Mrs Bhandhari. It is now run by her daughters. Once a British officer's mess it is has long been a homely guest house and you'll find many treasures from bygone days. Old-fashioned rooms are clean and simply furnished with period features such as wood fires and bathtubs in attached bathrooms. Along with breakfast, British-style three course dinners are available. There's a small swimming pool and well-tended gardens where you may find some campers or even a water buffalo or two!
