Responsible Travel

For almost four decades, Mountain Kingdoms has been offering people the chance to visit amazing places on this extraordinary planet, but we are conscious that inevitably these can have a detrimental impact on the world around us, and we want to do all we can to minimise this.

To this end we signed up to the industry wide Tourism Declares a Climate Emergency body and carbon-offsetting all flights by donating a percentage of the flight costs to the Ecoan tree planting project in Peru. Ecoan are a trusted, local NGO who used the funds to purchase seedling trees which are planted by local Quechuan people, to restore 2.5 million acres of Andean land. To date we have helped plant over 20,000 trees.

We also believe that Responsible Tourism involves giving something tangible back to the communities that we visit which is why we continue to support a number of charities in the destinations we visit, many of whom we have had long standing relationships with over many years such as Shiva Charity in Nepal.
