When is the best time to travel to Cuba?
Our climate charts will give you an idea of the weather conditions of Cuba.
The peak tourism season runs from mid-December to mid-March. This is considered the best time of year to visit Cuba as it is the middle of the dry season (November to April), so the weather is at its finest. This is particularly important if you would like to go on a walking or trekking holiday in Cuba. In tropical Cuba, the temperatures are an average of 24 degrees centigrade, with summer temperatures in the 30s and winter temperatures in the high teens. Temperatures will be cooler in the mountains.
In the wet season (May to October), the rain can be heavy, but short lived, so it is still possible to enjoy a holiday in Cuba during the summer. Of course during the school holidays flights and accommodation are quickly booked up, so do remember to book in advance. September and October are the least popular months to travel, as hurricanes are most likely to occur at this time.
