Brahmaputra River Cruise

The mighty Brahmaputra meanders gently through the picturesque countryside of Northeast India and there’s no better way to explore this region then on board the luxurious Mahabaahu cruise ship.

As our video shows, you’ll receive a traditionally warm welcome and experience every comfort on your luxurious week-long cruise. Cabins are well-appointed with large en-suite bathrooms and you may take advantage of the wide range of facilities on board including a library, sundeck, jacuzzi, spa and swimming pool. On board activities include yoga, spa treatments, cookery demonstrations and informative talks.

From the comfort of the boat you can look for exotic birds and wildlife, watch the local people going about their everyday lives and enjoy views of Assam’s verdant landscape set against the backdrop of high Himalayan peaks.

Regular shore visits with expert guides will take you to the key cultural and wildlife sights of the region. You will enjoy a walk through a tea estate, visit the culturally distinct village of Mishing where you can observe traditional crafts in action, spend time on beautiful Majuli Island and explore the ancient city of Sibsagar. However, for many, the main highlight of their cruise is the opportunity to take an elephant-back safari in the world renowned Kaziranga National Park. Here you may be lucky enough to spot tiger, buffalo, wild elephants and, the extremely rare, one-horned Indian rhinoceros.

And, at the end of each day, you can relax, sip a sundowner and look forward to a delicious meal in the Mahabaahu’s excellent restaurant.

You can choose whether to combine your cruise with any of these three options:

Brahmaputra River Cruise with Darjeeling in the Indian Himalaya

Brahmaputra River Cruise & Rajasthan

Brahmaputra River Cruise with a Cultural Tour of Bhutan

Please note that cabins used on any given departure may vary from those shown.
