Day 19 & 20: On the plane to Kathmandu

Day 19

As Pardeep named it - Day 3 in the Big Lukla House.  We were bored.Luckily in the morning we found out that our lodge had a TV with a film channel on and so we sat and watched television ... all day!

Day 20

Once again we were woken up at 5 today. Seeing the sun was the most exciting feeling in the world and everyone jumped out of bed, running round like maniacs - so happy to leave. We had breakfast at 6 and we were on the plane to Kathmandu by 7:30!Once we got back to the hotel everyone disappeared to their rooms for a good few hours for some pampering. For most of us it was the first shower we'd had in nearly two weeks and we stank! After everyone was clean we strolled into the Thamel district of Kathmandu for some lunch, massages and shopping! Some of the boys went over to the luxurious Radisson hotel to use their rooftop swimming pool. In the evening we then all met up and went to the famous 'Rum Doodle' restaurant for a celebratory meal. We found out why it was famous after about 30 seconds of walking in. The place was covered in memorabilia from hundreds of climbing groups, summiting various mountains and treks throughout the Himalayas. After dinner we got to fill out our own 'Yeti's foot' and put it up on the wall to immortalise Expedition Everest for us all!
